You found us!

This is the official blog for Casa de Cole, the unfiltered story of our move to Europe. I’m not sure how it will evolve or how it will end.  I do know that it has begun and that is all that matters. 

I can also tell you that I’m going against all of the marketing rules to publish this blog. You probably noticed that the blog is housed inside my Creative Design & IT Firm website, (I mean – I am a marketer), but I’m breaking all of the rules of marketing in writing the posts. 

I’m not worrying about Google Search engine, rules of structure, or using AI at all. This is literally a brain and heart dump onto digital paper for me. It’s raw and real. I want it to be this way so that I don’t get so caught up in a to-do list that this becomes another project launch instead of what it should be – me talking to you about our experiences. 

I say “me,” but I should say “us”. My hope is to not only have my own family participate but the people we meet and share in our experiences.

We have been here for nearly three months now. We are in the midst of applying for our Visas, looking for a more permanent residence, and building our work and personal network. 

I needed to start at this point because the weeks before were so overwhelming that I couldn’t think clearly enough to put pen to paper – or better described as fingers to keyboard. 

Here we are, later than planned but here.

I had hoped to start at the beginning and work my way through our adventure but with months having now passed, I anticipate it will be a time jump process. I’ll cover it all and give it a chronological category to sort but it’ll be now and then – combined. 

So yeah, I did it. I started it and as of today, we are here, we are thriving, and we don’t regret leaving. We have regrets but those are about mistakes made out of our own ignorance or assumptions. Nothing major, just ways we could have saved money or stress. I will tell you all about those. Get ready for that trauma dump. Haha!
